300+ days of altitude sun cook finishes year round. ProVia's finishes, frames, and weatherstripping are rated for what high altitude UV actually does to a door. The cheap stuff fades by year three.

40° daily swings are normal at 5,280 feet. Cheap doors fail at the hinge, the closer, the latch. ProVia hardware is built for thermal cycling, not factory bench tests.

The frame is only as good as the install

Most big-box doors are sold to be installed by you, on a Saturday, with a level that's probably not level. We measure to 1/16", shim every gap, and seal every edge. A premium door installed wrong leaks just as bad as a cheap one.
