Pella Storm Doors – Proudly Made in the USA

The logo for Pella Storm DoorsManufactured in Pella, Iowa, Pella storm doors are another top of the line brand. They’ve been making some of the best doors and windows on the market for decades. You can’t go wrong with a Pella.

Their fullview models feature the 60-minute express installation setup. This is designed so that “anyone” can install this door in 60 minutes or under. They even show a woman in high heels with a drill installing this by herself. Yeah right! But, leave it to the marketers to sell this door.

Basically, the door frame is mounted to the door panel. All you have to do is set it in the opening and screw it down. There is no cutting involved. Hacksaws aren’t needed. Neither are squares. In theory it’s easy.

However, in theory a root canal is also easy too. But there’s a reason we leave it to the professionals–because we don’t need the pain involved!

Another note is that the Pella storm door line was recently bought out by Larson Storm doors. Now, Pella storm doors are made by Larson, and are available at Lowe’s stores nationwide. The good news is they’ve taken the best of both lines and are combining their doors. The bad new is they haven’t updated installation instructions yet. So go with your gut when installing.

  • Hello, I understand you’ve installed many, many storm doors. What if any thoughts do you have about ProVia Door products? Not much seems to be known about this little company. Thanks
